Welcome and thank you for thinking about volunteering with us!
We couldn’t do most of what we do without our lovely and invaluable volunteers. We have various volunteer roles within Stow Park Community Centre and for Newport & District Foodbank, which we run in partnership with Trussell.
Opportunities within the community centre include charity trustees (we need a treasurer in particular), welcome/reception, making tea/coffee, cooking & serving meals, washing up, helping people use computers, and running activities to build friendships and community.
We also need volunteers for Newport & District Foodbank, where roles include: collecting food from supermarkets; weighing in, dating and sorting food; rotating and replenishing stock on the shelves; packing food parcels: welcome & making tea and signposting to further support.
