We aim to help our community flourish by offering a warm and welcoming space in which people can come and connect with each other. Food Bank
We opened one of the first Foodbanks in Newport and have provided food parcels to the homeless and vulnerable people ever since. In partnership with Trussell, we operate Newport & District Foodbank, and seek to overcome food poverty in our city.
We know that anyone can reach crisis point. When that happens we are here to provide a food parcel and friendly support. We also seek to empower people to find longer term solutions, such as how to shop and cook on a budget, signposting to help with debt, or confidence building and training to enhance employability.
Who We Are
We started life as the mission of Stow Park Church, who had the vision in 2010 to build and open the community centre to serve the people of Newport.
We are also committed to other organisations who build and serve the community in different ways. We hire inexpensive space to them in our large hall, or smaller rooms to conduct their own meetings in support of local people.
