Welcome and thank you for thinking about volunteering with us!
We couldn’t do most of what we do without our lovely and invaluable volunteers. We have various volunteer roles within Stow Park Community Centre and, within that, for Newport and District Foodbank, which we run in Partnership with Trussell.
Opportunities within the community centre include welcome/reception, making tea/coffee, cooking & serving meals, washing up, helping people use computers, and running activities to build friendships and community.
We also need volunteers for Newport and District Foodbank, where they collect food from customer donation points in supermarkets (requires a car/van): help weigh in, sort and rotate all stock; pack crisis food parcels ready for our food bank guests; offer welcome and hospitality, signpost to further support agencies, and lots more!
